Border Control Platform Link-up

Smart Corridors & e-Gates is the site-level half of the Innovatrics border control offering; the Border Control Platform is the central half — traveler registration, encounter management, galleries, and watchlists at the authority level. The corridor connects to Border Control Core or other external systems, synchronizing traveler status and authorization in real time, while crossing decisions stay in the downstream system.

Division of responsibility

The corridor identifies and reports: it publishes standardized identification.*, identity.*, and zone.* events through the Hub. The platform decides and manages: it owns the authoritative traveler records, applies business rules to the event stream, and orchestrates what happens to a traveler after clearance — routing onward, escalating unknown entities, or alerting officers on watchlist hits.

Watchlists and enrollment

Subjects matched at the corridor live in VPP watchlists. In a linked deployment, the Border Control Platform is the natural source of those subjects — travelers enrolled through its Pre-Enrollment Toolkit or Kiosk & PC Enrollment channels are provisioned into the corridor's watchlists, so a traveler registered centrally is recognized at the site without re-enrollment.

Without the platform

The link-up is optional. The corridor integrates equally well with third-party border management or security systems — everything flows through the same /graphql endpoint and Event Catalog, and watchlist management remains available directly through the Hub's VPP proxy. Nothing in the corridor assumes an Innovatrics backend.
