Branding

Station can carry your own product name, logos and favicon so that operators see the name they know. The Face Matcher package ships the branding as plain files in branding/station/, and docker-compose.override.yml mounts each of them read-only into the Station container under /build/branding/. Nothing has to be extracted from the image or rebuilt: edit the files, restart Station, done.

Files

FileUsed for
logo-product.svgProduct logo with text, shown in the expanded left menu.
logo-product-without-text.svgCompact logo, shown when the menu is collapsed.
favicon-product.icoBrowser tab icon.
naming-product.jsonText strings: the window title and the name of the platform tab on the Configuration page.

The package ships with Face Matcher branding:

{
"windowTitle": "Face Matcher",
"configSection": "Face Matcher"
}

windowTitle is the browser window title; configSection names the platform tab on the Configuration page (see Settings). Keep any other keys present in the shipped file unchanged; Station expects them to exist.

Apply your branding

  1. Replace the SVG and ICO files with your own. Keep the same file names and similar dimensions and file sizes; oversized images slow the page down and may render badly in the menu.
  2. Edit the two strings in naming-product.json.
  3. Recreate the Station container so that the mounted files are re-read:
docker compose up -d --force-recreate station

--force-recreate is needed because the files are mounted individually and an editor that writes a new file rather than updating the existing one leaves the running container with the old content.

The mounts are declared in the station service of docker-compose.override.yml; if you keep the branding files elsewhere, change the host paths there. The visual theme, colours and layout of Station are not configurable.
