Compatibility matrix
Face Matcher is released as a package of components that are tested together: the platform images, Station, the license manager used to obtain the hardware ID, and the Embedded Stream Processor that runs on edge devices. Use the combination from one row; mixing rows is not supported. The versions in .env (VERSION, STATION_VERSION) and the license manager tag on the install page always reflect the current row.
| Face Matcher release | Face Matcher Server images (VERSION) | Station (STATION_VERSION) | License manager | Embedded Stream Processor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current | v5_4.43.0 (v5_4.43.0.10149) | v5_1.33.0 | 3.2.7 | Not yet confirmed for this release |
Earlier platform releases are not covered by this documentation. If you run an older deployment, follow the Upgrade guide to bring it to the current release first; when the face extraction model changed between the versions, the upgrade includes a template migration.
Edge devices are documented separately: the Embedded Stream Processor and the Embedded Toolkit are their own products under Embedded biometrics, and the edge section of this documentation covers connecting them to Face Matcher. When a new platform release requires a newer processor on the devices, this table is where the requirement is recorded.
Stacks built on top of Face Matcher, such as Smart Corridor, pin the Face Matcher release they were validated with; check the Smart Corridor documentation for its own compatibility statement before upgrading either side.
