Kiosk & PC Self-Service or Assisted Enrollment Toolkit

A cross-platform SDK suite enabling unassisted passenger registration and biometric enrollment at airport kiosks or dedicated PCs. Designed for Android, Windows, and Linux environments, it lets integrators build secure, intuitive self-service applications for pre-clearance and border-readiness workflows.

The toolkit provides advanced face biometric components with guided auto-capture, liveness detection (PAD), ICAO-aligned quality validation, age estimation, and real-time 1:1 verification against the document portrait. For enhanced security on kiosks equipped with NIR iris cameras, it includes iris processing components with quality control and on-device biometric matching — both 1:1 verification and local 1:N identification up to 1,000 records against a watchlist.

The module additionally supports self-capture of slap fingerprints and palmprints, proprietary and NFIQ2 quality checks, and on-device 1:1 or 1:N (up to 1,000 records) identification against a local watchlist. Registered traveler data is transferred seamlessly to Border Control Core and Traveler Management Module.

Capabilities

  • Multimodal capture (face, iris, fingerprint, palmprint)
  • Auto-capture & liveness (PAD)
  • ICAO quality validation
  • Age estimation
  • NFIQ2 fingerprint quality + proprietary quality checks
  • On-device 1:1 verification and 1:1,000 identification against local watchlist
  • Fingerprint & iris segmentation
  • Template extraction

What it does

  • Self-service or assisted enrollment — cross-platform SDK for unassisted (or assisted) passenger registration. Android, Windows, Linux.
  • Face biometrics — guided auto-capture, liveness detection (PAD), ICAO-aligned quality validation, age estimation, and real-time 1:1 verification against the document portrait
  • Iris biometrics — quality control on NIR iris cameras, with on-device 1:1 verification and local 1:N identification up to 1,000 records against a watchlist
  • Slap fingerprints and palmprints — self-capture with proprietary and NFIQ2 quality checks, on-device 1:1 or 1:N (up to 1,000) against a local watchlist
  • Handoff to Core — registered traveler data transferred seamlessly to Border Control Core for central enrollment, deduplication, and Traveler Management

Components we provide

Developer documentation

The capture layer for this toolkit can be powered by either the IDV Platform (when end-to-end document verification is in scope) or the Enrollment SDK (when capture is the primary need and document verification is handled separately). Both have dedicated developer documentation:

  • Face auto-capture IDV components — Android, Web
  • Enrollment SDK — Windows, Linux, Android — covering all fingerprint, face, and iris capabilities
  • No opinionated user interface — SDKs only (except for the auto-capture components)

Limitations

  • No UI shell. Integrators build the kiosk / PC application UI on top of the SDK primitives.
  • Specialized peripherals required for full modality coverage. NIR iris cameras, slap fingerprint readers, and passport scanners are not part of the SDK; specific reader models confirmed per project.
